It's Island hop an ethnic crossover of Island music.
Genre: World: Island
Release Date: 2005「
My album is a universal mixture of various ethnic sounds played in harmony. Island Hop music is the depiction of such a vast genre, because there are various styles of island music played all around the world today. Island music involves all different types of ethnic genres ranging from polynesian love songs to caribbean reggae to Latin American bossanova. Island Hop is the fusion of the "feel good" island rhythms with a blend of American hip-hop added with a twist of polynesian love songs to critique the sensuous island sound.

Love songs on this album have been inspired by country artists such as George Strait and Vince Gill. The unique style of country music has been the central motivation for me to sing love songs in both Polynesian and English on this album. The main objective of my music is to get everybody to dance and enjoy life under the sun. Whether you are in the big city or on a small hammock at the beach, Island Hop music can be played everywhere. Coming from the islands, I was shocked to experience the new sounds of the current musicians in the United States at the time. I was instantly hooked on the music of the 70's and 80's, which seemed to be a crossover of styles formulating a new age of the American sound. The funk beats and the pop rhythms opened up a whole new world for me, and I was fortunated enough to have that material to work with and to create my own style.

Musicians that have inspired me to write my music have ranged from the Beatles, to Earth, Wind, and Fire, Lionel Richie, to the Commodores, to Englebert Humperdinck. Motown was another group of artists that inspired me when I first came to America. I was encouraged by these artists to play their music and to embrace their sound, but I have always felt that I could relate to Island music the most. Thus, it has become my distinctive sound that blends my culture with the new age American style of music.
